HIGH GLEN -ARTISAN-
Dancing through sunny meadows
The sweet barley character conveys cereal and grass to the nose – you are a pretty girl dancing in slow motion through the flower meadows of Val Mustair in early summer – sunshine gently kissing all the yellow buttercups – if you wait a while the buttercups turn into yellow plums and mirabellen.
The palate is an easy-drinking entertainment of wood and honey – the busy bees made a hive in an oak tree – and you have robbed them. As you run away, honey is dribbling down your chin, leaving after-tastes of grilled pineapple, toffee and banana split – the finish brings suggestions of toasted coconut and tobacco.
